Product Description

with Tim McCormick,
National Basketball Players Association; former NBA player

Former college and NBA star Tim McCormick asks the question" Where have all the big men gone?" During his 10 years in the NBA, he played against the greatest posts ever to play the game. Out of that experience came two major tasks; 1) Become outstanding at gaining low post position, and 2) Develop a couple of strong post moves to go to in the paint. McCormick's post program is based on 10 rules for "NBA" post players. First, is playing in the Kill zone, an area in the deep post. Rule 2 is to develop a jump hook by using the motto of "right hip, right shoulder, right ear, right in." Rules 3 and 4 are the derivative of the fast break and demanding the ball, respectively. Teaching players to get into the Kill zone and the power dribble make up Rules 5 and 6. He teaches the Hammer move as Rule 7, giving all post players a method of scoring in the paint. The re-post, Rule 8, the screen and step back, Rule 9, and post seal, Rule 10 round out the demonstration. Presented in a well organized way, this DVD is your opportunity to improve the play of post players in your program.
