Get a head start on your competition. Brandon High Head Wrestling Coach Russ Cozart unveils his wrestler's boot camp workout that he has used for 20+ years with great results.
This pre-season conditioning camp gives your wrestlers a chance to come into the first day of practice in "exercise shape." No more spending the first two weeks conditioning your athletes. With Coach Cozart's help you will be ready to start technique training faster, giving you more training time before the first meet.
Cozart breaks down this 10-day camp, which should start at least 3 weeks before your first day of the season. He begins with his philosophy and rules for the camp before demonstrating each phase.
This program consists of three complementary phases designed to strengthen athletes and reduce early-season injuries:
Body weight exercises: Three sets of four exercises done outside of the wrestling room.
Running: This phase changes every day but is based on 4 sets of runs.
Calisthenics: Six groups of exercises done in the wrestling room.
In addition, Cozart has found that this camp has cut down on the number of early season injuries because the kids come in better shape. And, it sets a higher standard for your team as it develops confidence in the individual and serves as a team builder as well.
Develop stronger, more confident athletes and more cohesive teams. Russ Cozart shows you how in this incredible DVD from on of wrestling's most storied coaches. A great addition to any program.
